Japanese Tea Ceremony: November 14, 2011 (Mon.)

In Celebration of International Education WeekThe Japanese Program and the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures in the College of Arts and Humanities cordially hosted an autumn tea gathering in an authentic Japanese tea room.

 

Kimono Show

DATE: October 18, 2011
TIME: 2:10-3:00 p.m.
PLACE: Humanities Building, Room 587

This is an educational cultural exchange event with a 14-member team from Yubi Kimono School.  SFSU student volunteers, dressed in kimono specifically brought from Japan for this event, participated in the show as models. Female models wore authentic makeup and hairdos.  The program also included a brief introduction to the history of kimono and a demonstration of how to put on a kimono.
